Eat Right! Healthful Breakfast for a Healthy Life
How many times have you heard the adage “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”? This isn’t just a saying, eating a healthy breakfast really does do wonders for your body, including for your energy level and the speed of your metabolism over the course of the day. Studies have even found that you will burn more calories working out after a healthy breakfast than you will burn before you eat, or if your breakfast is not adequate.
Too many people believe that skipping breakfast will somehow help them. Avoiding excess calories is an important part of staying healthy, but breakfast is unfortunately a little too important to simply pass up. You will find that if you begin to eat hearty, healthy breakfasts every morning, your body will not fatigue as easily, you will perform better at work, and you will feel better at the gym afterward. If eating a health breakfast can do so much for the body, why on earth would you pass it up?
There are many ways to put together a quick but healthy breakfast, and many healthy breakfast options are portable. A fresh fruit smoothie is a stellar choice if you have a blender. You can combine your favorite fruits and vegetables with a little bit of milk, to get a great boost of vitamins, minerals and calcium before your day begins. If you do not have a blender, but want to enjoy milk and fruit in the morning, try a bowl of a cereal which is high in fiber and low in sugar, and add some nonfat milk and fresh fruit to the top. If you have a little bit more time to prepare breakfast in the morning, try one of these great recipes, which combine a healthy cereal with yogurt, fresh fruit and even some protein-packed nuts.
